Privacy Policy
PRIVACY POLICYRVC Members, LLC as operator of the Raintree Vacation Club (hereinafter referred to as "RVC"), understands the importance of protecting the privacy of certain information or data collected from its members, prospective users or other customers (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Users"). This Privacy Policy discloses what information RVC gathers, and how it uses it. Therefore it is important for the Users to understand how the information it is collected, and what it is its purpose.PERSONAL INFORMATION RVC encourages Users to read this Policy carefully before submitting any personal information. Also, it is important to note that this Policy does not apply to RVC’s processing of personal information on behalf of and subject to the instructions of third parties such as airlines, car rental companies and other service providers, companies that organize or offer packaged travel arrangements, marketing partners, or customers. RVC collects Personal Information exclusively by requesting it from the User and only if such information is deemed to be useful for the business. The information collected may include, but is not limited to: User’s name and contact information; date of birth; preferred communication methods; business name, title and business address; credit card details, including the three-digit code that appears on the back of the User’s credit card; member number, frequent flyer or travel partner program affiliation; date of arrival and departure; room and vacation preferences; travel history; and details on hotel, airline and rental car packages the User might have booked (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Personal Information”). RVC may also records details on joint travellers, including their names and frequent flyer numbers, and the age of the driver of the rental car, etc. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION There are many ways RVC may use User’s Personal Information, which may include, but not limited to sending the User information on products and/or services, special deals, promotions. As part of RVC’s business relationships, RVC may share User’s Personal Information with third parties so that these third parties can send to the User promotional materials. The purpose of using Personal Information is to complete transactions requested by the User (such as your purchase of a product or service offered on RVC’s Web Site), and/or to send to the User communications either about User’s membership with RVC or about features of RVC’s Web Site, including any future changes to this Privacy Policy. RVC may use Personal Information to notify sweepstakes winners and award prizes, to monitor site traffic or personalize the site, and to send emails. RVC may also use the User’s Personal Information for internal quality assurance purposes. However, RVC does not and will not sell User’s Personal information, nor use the User’s Personal Information collected and stored, in order to grant or extend consumer credit unless the User submits a separate credit application and authorize RVC to use or disclose this information; nor act as a consumer reporting agency, or furnish information about any User's credit worthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, character, general reputation, personal characteristics or mode of living to any consumer reporting agency. COOKIES As most of Major Web sites, RVC uses those small pieces of information called Cookies, which are sent to the User’s computer in order to keep data records, therefore those Cookies need to be saved in User’s computer. Cookies make easier for the User to surf the internet, by saving User’s preferences. RVC does not have access to User’s computer by accepting the Cookies, nor does RVC save passwords or credit card information. User can choose to delete cookie files at any time, but for the most part, cookies expire after a defined period of time. Also, most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. User can also reset User’s browser to deny access to all cookie files or to receive notices when cookies have been sent. Nonetheless, if User decides not to give access to Cookies, it may result in a slower service, and might not be able to complete some marketing transactions. User may receive from time to time cookies from third parties advertized in RVC’s web site for which RVC have no control. Furthermore, these cookies may not follow the rules that have been set for by RVC. Please note that the use of advertising cookies sent by third party servers is standard in the Internet industry. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION RVC will take the appropriate measures to: protect User’s Personal Information collected against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, and also to keep such Personal Information accurate and up-to-date, consistent with applicable law. RVC also requires its affiliates and service providers to exercise reasonable efforts to maintain the confidentiality of personal information about Users. For online transactions, RVC uses technology to protect the Personal Information that the User transmits to RVC through RVC’s site. However, no security system or system of transmitting data over the Internet can be a 100% secure. Therefore, for the User's own privacy protection, RVC encourages the User not to include Personal Information in any emails address to RVC. Please do not send credit card numbers or any Personal Information to RVC via email. LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEB SITES While visiting RVC’s Web Site, User may be hyperlinked to third party Web Sites which are beyond RVC’s control, by simply clicking on an advertisement banner. The interaction with the third party Web site will no longer be governed by this Privacy Policy. Although such third party Web sites may use RVC’s logo as a result of a joint venture or marketing agreement, the use of RVC’s logo does not imply any endorsement by RVC to the material, content, products, services or information on or at such sites or any association with their operators. These other Web sites may send their own cookies to Users and members, collect data, or solicit personal information. RVC does not control third party Web sites, and, therefore, is not responsible for their contents or the hyperlinks or advertising they choose to place on such Web sites; accordingly, User’s use of these third party sites is at User’s own risk and are subject to the terms of use and policies set forth at such sites. POLICY AMENDMENTS RVC reserves the right in its sole discretion, to modify, alter or otherwise update this Privacy Policy ("Revised Policy") at any time without prior notice. Such Revised Policy shall be effective immediately upon posting, and shall also govern User’s rights and RVC’s obligations with respect to the use, disclosure and protection of User’s Personal Information as of such posting. RVC recommends Users to check this Privacy Policy periodically and read carefully, any such Revised Policy to learn how User’s Personal Information will be used before continuing the use of this Web Site. ACCEPTANCE OF THE THIS POLICY The use RVC’s Web Site, implies User’s agreement with RVC's Privacy Policy. IF USER DOES NOT AGREE WITH THIS POLICY, RVC STRONGLY RECOMENDS NOT TO USE RVC’S WEB SITE. The continued use of RVC's Web Site by the User shall be deemed as an acceptance of the Privacy Policy in effect. Any such amendments to this Policy will become effective upon posting of the revised Policy on the site. |
